Kumano Pilgrimage Cherry Blossom Tour 2011

15 Days Kumano Pilgrimage Cherry Blossom Tour

Dates Mon 21st March 2011 to Tue 5th April 2011

From the ancient capital of Kyoto, pilgrims endured a 30 to 40 day return trip to the sacred Kumano area in the southern part of the Kii Peninsula in Wakayama Prefecture. This network of routes is now called the KUMANO KODO and stretches across the mountainous Peninsula. Come join with us and walk part of this ancient trail and experience the unique cultural landscape of Kumano’s spiritual countryside and view cherry blossoms in a truly sacred area of Japan.

Soak and relax in the healing waters of an isolated Hot Spring, enjoy traditional cuisine both from the sea and the mountains, experience staying in temple lodging and the hospitality of a Japanese Ryokan.
