From the ancient capital of Kyoto, pilgrims endured 30 to 40 days return trip to the sacred Kumano area in the southern part of the Kii Peninsula in Wakayama Prefecture. This network of routes is now called the Kumano Kodo and stretches across the mountainous Peninsula. Come join with us and walk part of this ancient trail and experience the unique cultural landscape of Kumano’s spiritual countryside.

Soak and relax in the healing waters of an isolated Hot Spring, enjoy traditional cuisine both from the sea and the mountains, experience staying in temple lodging and the hospitality of a Japanese Ryokan.

Visit Nara the old capital of Japan and experience the splendour of the historical city of Kyoto. From walking the streets of two cities steeped in over a thousand years of history to a thrilling boat ride shooting the rapids down the Hozu River, what kind of adventures are waiting for you?
